General Membership

  • Suitable for students and those just beginning their placenta encapsulation business.
  • All General members must agree to be bound by the rules of the PSA Inc Constitution and Code of Conduct.
  • This membership level is available to all Australian placenta professionals and students who support the objects of the association and agrees to be bound by its rules.
  • General Members need to be currently working as a placenta specialist or undertaking study in an industry related course such as through PSA, APPA, IPEN or PBi.
  • You must have completed Blood Borne Pathogen training through either APPA or Biologix.
  • You must have completed Level 1 Food Safety training, preferably SITXFSA001
  • General members can vote at the Annual General Meeting or in elections. The application for membership shall be made in writing. Upon the acceptance of the application by the committee and upon payment of the first annual subscription, the applicant shall be a general member.

 

Associate Membership

  • This membership level is available to those Australian placenta professionals and students who agree to be bound by the rules of the PSA Inc Constitution and Code of Conduct.
  • The applicant must demonstrate at least two years work experience in placenta services AND you must have completed Blood Borne Pathogen training through either APPA or Biologix AND You must have completed Level 1 Food Safety training, preferably SITXFSA001
  • OR the applicant must have attained formal qualifications issued by APPA, PBI, IPEN or PSA
  • ALL Associates must have completed a minimum 40 encapsulations.
  • Must have insurance and ABN.
  • Associate members may use the post nominal PSAA and can vote at the Annual General Meeting or in elections. The application for membership shall be made in writing. Upon the acceptance of the application by the committee and upon payment of the first annual subscription, the applicant shall be an associate member.

 

Mentor Membership

  • A Mentor is the most prestigious level of membership awarded to Australian Placenta Services professionals who have a strong technical knowledge of, and experience in, the industry and agree to be bound by the rules of the PSA Inc Constitution and Code of Conduct.
  • You must have completed Blood Borne Pathogen training through either APPA or Biologix AND You must have completed Level 1 Food Safety training, preferably SITXFSA001
  • OR the applicant must have attained formal qualifications issued by APPA, PBI, IPEN or PSA
  • ALL mentors have a minimum 4 years placenta encapsulation experience OR have completed a minimum 300 encapsulations.
  • Must have insurance and ABN and be nominated by another Associate or Mentor.
  • As a Mentor, they participate in providing advice and support to PSA members. Mentors may use the post nominal PSAM and can vote at the Annual General Meeting or in elections.
  • The application for membership shall be made in writing. Upon the acceptance of the application by the committee and upon payment of the first annual subscription, the applicant shall be a Mentor.
